Wedding Gown Design - Front by JECBrush Wedding Gown Design - Front by JECBrush
Commission work for :iconairyn56:~Airyn56

A front view of a wedding gown sketch with a phoenix motif in mind. This features Italian and Japanese inspired designs found in web catalogs.

This took me a long time to get this done. I haven't really done a wedding dress before so here's my first shot at it.

Hope you like it! :)

Hey Cuz!!! Since colors are gold and white, you think the men should be in white and gold or gold and white? xD

Hm... I dunno, I would have to sketch that out. From what I can imagine, the men would have a white suit with gold designs just like the gown. That would give a sense of unity between the bride and the groom.

Cool Dress! I saw the back too, and that was especially intricate and cool.
I think it definitely fits the occasion of a wedding, but (consider this constructive criticism) I would consider the placement of the twist/fold in the dress center. If you ever go into construction of your designs, the fold might limit her range of movement or bunch.
Absolutely love it though - I know I'd enjoy getting married in it.

Thanks for the input! I never paint a dress like this before. You may notice my lack of understanding of folds. Perhaps the fold near the waist should be higher? That would seem to make the dress less constricting for walking. What do you think? Regardless, I'm pretty happy with the overall look.

Hmm... I'll need to talk to a proficient dressmaker for guidance for better designs.

As an art piece, I think the fold is placed ingeniously, it gives the person being pictured a figure, and the dress really flows from it. I think it being placed a little higher could help someone's movement though.
And, you definitely should be happy with the overall look. :D
